Mike Dwyer facilitated the Latrobe Valley Gippsland Region Skills Forum with Latrobe City Council and formed part of an expert panel at the Italian Australian Sporting Club on 25th October. People from a variety of industry sectors attended. The main objective of the forum was to help participants gain an understanding of the opportunities available in sourcing skilled talent from overseas so as to manage the current skills shortage in Australia as well as to understand the process from a legal, cultural/education, training/industry and Recruitment perspective. Other Skills Forums will be held in Cairns, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney & Perth.
